After being struck by two earthquakes of 7.7 and 7.2 magnitudes, Awaran and Kech districts of Balochistan Province are reporting losses and damages. As per PDMA Balochistan’s report of today, there have been 376 deaths and number of people injured are 824. PDMA has given estimation that overall 200,000 people have been affected.
PRCS will reach out to 2000 EQ affected families with food, basic emergency shelter and essential non food items. PRCS is also providing emergency health & care to the affected population.
So far PRCS response has reached out to 18,282 earthquake affected people. PRCS provided 183 earthquake families with food packs donated by ZONG. Two PRCS health teams are on ground and providing basic health and care services, first aid and free medicines to the affected population. So far 3001 people have benefitted from the health response. In coordination with DCO, PRCS is responding in the UC Awaran and UC Teertej both in Tehsil Awaran of District Awaran. PRCS reached out to 2000 families with Non food item kits and basic emergency shelter items.
